New article: switching to Ubuntu »

FERDY CHRISTANT - MAR 10, 2007 (12:12:29 PM)

Hereby I announce a new article I wrote on switching from XP to Ubuntu. If you're curious about Ubuntu, want to know how to install it, compare it with XP or get inspired by the thrills of a 3D desktop experience, this is for you:

Switching from XP to Ubuntu

As always, no Microsoft bashing intended, simply documenting a choice. Enjoy.

comment » Thanks, I have not yet setup Notes on Ubuntu. For now, I'll switch to my XP partition. I don't touch the Notes client much these days, most of the stuff I have is web-enabled. Still, thanks for the instructions. 17 «

comment » Hi Ferdy, great article, good to see another ubuntu user!

I made the switch on my home PC over a year ago, and my Windows partition only still exists because I haven't got around to bring all the data across! (I have the drive mounted in ubuntu). Every day I like it more.

I have just started an adventure with the Notes 8 Beta on ubuntu, fun! «
