The dutch lion roars once more »

It sure feels good to be dutch these days. In last night's game, against all odds, we showed France a masterclass in attractive, offensive football: 4-1. A couple of days earlier, we humiliated world chapion Italy: 3-0. These wins by these numbers are quite incomprehensable to many of us, they almost feel too good to be true. I'd be the first to agree with critics that we have luck on our side, but this cannot be just luck. Scoring 7 times against well-respected, defensive world champions is brilliance, football reinvented. When you lead by 2-1 and bring in two additional offensive players, where every other team would rereat to defensive, that is just guts. And the goals...of stunning beauty. No matter what happens next, in my biased view, Holland has written football history.
Unfortunately, due to a business trip to India next week, I'll be likely to miss the next two games. Let's hope they make it to the semi finals. Go Holland!
