It's been almost a year ago since we visited Costa Rica. Other than producing a 100 wallpapers of our finest pictures, I did not really post much about it. Therefore, here's one from the archive, so to speak.

We were in a river boat crossing the mangroves, making our way to Cahuita. The whole day we saw a wealth of species and we thought it would be all for the day. As is always the case with wildlife, surprise is around every corner. A huge crocodile appeared only a few yards from our boat. At one point we could almost touch him. When looking at it through a camera, somehow you forget that you should be afraid, or careful at the very least.
